The house is conveniently situated near the centre of the site allowing easy access to the many site amenities. Nearby you will find The Bay Pharmacy with a coffee and snack shop next door as well as a small convenience shop. Alongside is the family friendly public house ‘John Paul Jones’ where freshly prepared meals are served throughout the day.

The Bay offers all weather sports and leisure facilities and a number of activities. There’s also an indoor heated swimming pool, gym, sauna and spa/beauty rooms. All details available from Reception at the Leisure Centre. If your preference is walking, then the beautiful family and dog friendly sandy beach is within easy distance.

The Yorkshire Coastline has miles of beautiful shoreline to explore. Locally is the quaint seaside town of Filey. Here you’ll find well-known retailers such as Tesco and Boots as well as a variety of independent shops, restaurants and take aways. A stroll through the town will bring you to the esplanade gardens where you can sit and enjoy the sea views. The beach is also easily accessible. Venture a little further afield to Scarborough which has extensive shopping facilities as well as the South and North Bay beaches to visit. Sewerby Hall & Gardens,Bridlington, Robin Hood’s Bay and Staithes are also worthy of consideration for a grand day out.

For the ultimate shopping experience, a trip to the historic city of York is highly recommended. Visit York Minster, have afternoon tea in the famous Betty’s Teashop or stroll around the fascinating railway museum. If you prefer to travel by train, then take a nostalgic trip on the steam locomotive from Pickering to Whitby passing through the stunning scenery of the Yorkshire moors. This beautiful part of the country with so many places of interest truly offer something for everybody whether it’s visiting any of the numerous tourist attractions, cliff top walks or strolling along the beach. Enjoy watching the birds from the famous RSPB Bempton cliffs nature reserve. As well as the numerous varieties of sea birds, you may be lucky enough to spot puffins between April and July!!
